Trump has been in a battle with the media since he began his presidential campaign. Now that he is president, he is laying down the law!
On Saturday, the new White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, unleashed on journalists for their ridiculous coverage of the inauguration saying, “Photographs of the inaugural proceeding were intentionally framed in a way in one particular tweet to minimize the enormous support that had gathered on the National Mall.”
He added, “Yesterday, at a time when our nation and the world watched the peaceful transition of power — and as the president said, the transfer and balance of power from Washington to the citizens of the United States — some members of the media were engaged in deliberately false reporting.”
The press has tried to lecture Trump about whether or not the president should be using twitter while in office. They also criticized him for allegedly removing a bust of Martin Luther King Jr. from the Oval Office.
CNN, as well as other liberal networks, aired comparison shots of Trump’s inauguration with the 2009 inauguration of Donald Trump. But they used an image from before the event had started, and did not note that it was raining during Trump’s inauguration.
Also, the use of fencing and security devices was “preventing hundreds of thousands of people from being able to access mall as quickly as they had in inaugurations past,” Spicer said.
What is most important is that, “No one had numbers, because the National Park Service, which controls the National Mall, does not put any out,” the Press Secretary said. “In years past, the grass eliminated this visual,” he added.
In actuality, at least 720,000 people were in the area surrounding the actual inauguration near the US. Capital, and many more were watching online, from work. “This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration — period,” he said.
This type of media dishonesty is unacceptable. Liberal networks are going to take every chance they have to bring down the Trump administration, even if it means lying to the American people.
Luckily, Trump and Sean Spicer have made it clear that this kind of lying will not be tolerated. “The president is committed to unifying our country — and that was the focus of inaugural address,” he said.
My favorite thing he said was: “There’s been a lot of talk in the media about responsibility to hold Donald Trump accountable, and I am here to tell you that it goes two ways.” Finally, we have an administration that will not be bullied by the Press!
The main message to both the media and the establishment is that there is a new sheriff in town, so don’t expect the same things you got from Obama. The press better get ready to actually tell the truth, or there will be hell to pay.
